Is the Age of Mediocrity gone now the Coach Nate McMillan has been fired?

The day has come that the Atlanta Hawks have gone in a different direction with the firing of Coach Nate McMillan.  With Joe Prunty will be taking over as interim head coach until the end of the season.  Will this change the Atlanta Hawks fortunes?  Recent history would say yes considering the last time the Hawks fired a coach during the season the Hawks went on a Magical run to the ECF.  By coincidence the Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young was snubbed that season from the all star game just like this season, so all of the stars are aligned to repeat that run right?!?!?

Hmmmm……….. To ask this team to show confidence and consistency they would need to make it back to the ECF in a MUCH BETTER eastern conference is a tall order to say the least.  The rubics cube of making our offense and defense work better with our collection of injury prone players on this roster will make that task hard!  The good thing is the Hawks schedule seems to get easier for the next 10 games.  We start after the all star break with a super touch game against the cavs, but after that the Hawks have the new look nets, the wizards three out of the next ten games, Portland at home, Miami in back to back, t wolves, and Boston.

The hawks need to go at least 7-3 in the next ten to turn this season around!  They currently sit at the 8th seed in the eastern Conference with the wizards right behind them and the heat and Knicks 3 games ahead of the hawks.  We must win the head to head Vs the wizards and hear to gain space between us in the playoffs standings and the division standings!  I look forward to watching our Hawks change their season, but we can’t blame the head coach anymore!  Our next live watch party is on Friday so please click on the following link to join the event page.  https://www.youtube.com/live/2XC4Z06mR6U?feature=share
