Are you KIDDING ME @MLBNetwork @MLB at this ranking of top players going into the playoffs!?!?!?!?!? Ronald Acuna Jr is a BY FAR the best player in the playoffs! Matt Olson is top four in NL mvp voting, but can’t crack the top four on this list?!?!?!? He is only leading MLB in hr’s and RBI’s! Also where the heck is Strider on this list? We all know that Clayton kershaw stays choking in the playoffs! Wow a west coast media member MUST have made this list because I see three Dodgers on here like they were the top team in the NL. Shout out to “Will Leitch” of mlb.com for making this bogus list. I sincerely hope you don’t have an NL MVP or Cy Young vote.
Here is my list:
1. Ronald Acuna Jr.- Best player for the entire season and the best player on the #1 seed throughout the playoffs! Yes the Playoffs goes through Truist Park and Ronald is the most Valuable Player in the NL.
2. Mookie Betts- had an amazing month and a half of baseball, but his numbers have slowed down in September. Hopefully his he power isn’t slumping at the wrong time of the season. Well I’ll change that to hopefully slumping speaking as a Braves fan if we face them in the NLCS. lol
3. Mat Olson- with Ronald on the Braves it seems like the national media just blatantly overlooks Matty O! He leads the majors in HR’s and RBI’s. He has a top 5 HR total for a single season since the year 2000! He is gold glove worthy of a defensive 1st baseman also.
4. Corey Seager- is the engine of the Texas Rangers and his transition from the National league to the American League was flawless. He was 3rd fiddle on the Dodgers but now he is the lead Dog on the rangers
5. Freddie Freeman- this might be Freddie’s best season as a professional baseball player and the numbers bears it out. If mookie is the table setter then Freddie is clean up specialist! He is either always on base or always driving in runs. Don’t forget about his golden glove defense as he is 4th in my NL MVP race.
6. Bryce Harper- This dude is always dangerous and former MVP of the NL is leading his team to a possible deep playoff run. While he was injured some during this season it seems like his bat has warmed up at the best time of the season! The Phillies are going to be an hard out with him in the lineup and he has turned himself into a very good defensive first baseman! The main reason the Phillies are a threat is because of Harper.
7. Spencer Strider - the strike out leader and mlb wins leader 20* com s into the 2023 playoffs with the most dominant stuff in MLB! In year number two he is putting up even the great Randy Johnson didn’t put up! To not have him on this list is to show the lack of baseball you know! The best pitcher on the best team in MLB is definitely a top 10 player coming in the playoffs!
8. Corbin Carrol - The diamondbacks young star should be ROTY hands down and is leading his team to the playoffs with great defense in the outfield and his speed on the bases! If the D-backs are to advance deep into the playoffs Corbin will have to lead them to victory!
9. Justin Verlander- with his season in shambles as a METS player the trade back to the Astros seemed to put some juice in that old arm and turned the Astros season around imo! He will be the key to the defending champs going deep in the playoffs or an early exit!
10. Luis Arraez - he is the modern day Tony Gwynn imo and literally always on base! He has good speed on the bases and if the Marlins need a hit he will deliver for sure! As MLB batting average champ he never gets cheated out of an at bat! If the upset anyone in the playoffs it will be due to this young man.
So that’s my list of the top 10 dangerous players coming into the playoffs. What do you guys think compared to mlb.com list? Further more if I was Snit I would post this bogus list in Ronald, strider, and matty O lockers and let those player feed off the blatant disrespect! Why is there such a blatant west coast media bias when it comes to MLB.com rankings? Is this a precursor to the NL MVP voting? Will the national media spurn Ronald Acuna Jr as the mvp of the NL? He’s only had a one of one season this season! If Ronald doesn’t win NL MVP everyone that didn’t vote for needs their voting privileges taken away imo! From start to finish Ronald Acuna Jr has been the best player in BASEBALL not named Shohei! So what do y’all think about MLB.com list vs my list? Do you agree with the list or not?
