My Plus or minus on TOTAL carries for Bijan Robinson this season are between 370-400 total carries on the ground and 25-50 total receptions in his rookie season. I need to explain this more in-depth for those that don’t understand how total Carries in a season work! When you look at my total you say WOAH that’s too much and want to at least cut it in half or 1/3 of what I posted due to having Allgiers on this team. Well let’s look at Bijan College career and see what made him such a highly sought after prospect!
Last season Bijan had 258 rushing attempts in a 12 game regular season at the University of Texas! DIVIDE THE TOTAL RUSHES by the amount of games and you will see what the young man average carry per games was in college to maximize his talent! That equals 21.5 carries PER GAME PEOPLE! Bijan Robinson is a HIGH VOLUME touches RB as most great RB are tbh. I was on Big Low Kuntry Sports stream last night and here’s a link to his YouTube channel https://youtube.com/@BigLowKuntry
and one of the panel members made a great comparison to Allgeiers and Bijan that I wholeheartedly agree! It was said that Allgeiers reminds them of Michael Turner and I said Bijan was like LaDainian Thomlinson and everyone agree! Allgiers is the straight ahead runner and Bijan is the shifty runner that can also line up in the slot as a wr! With that comparison LT was the featured back and Michael Turner was a back up RB that gave LT a breather. Now when LT was hurt we got to see a small glimpse of the potential of Michael “the Burner” Turner we know and love in a Falcons uniform, but until Turner left the chargers that potential was never fully nurtured tbh!
Well there’s a reason why Michael Turner came to the Falcons when he did because he was NEVER going to get the touches as a RB on the Chargers because he was there with LT who got the Lion share of the carries! Once Turner “the Burner” came to the Falcons he became an pro bowl RB because he was the featured back for the Falcons with the majority of the Carries! I know everyone LOVES Allgeiers and so do I and that’s why I was strongly against drafting Bijan at #8! Not because he is a RB, but because we already have a really good running back that got over 1100 yards with horrible QB play the entire season! Also running the ball was a strength of the Falcons last season in which Allgeiers was the featured running back.
The harsh reality of the situation is when you draft a RB that high (#8) they will be the starter and they will get the lion share of the carries. Even if you want to utilize both RB’s in this system if the drafted player is a high Volume touches type of player you cannot use him in a lesser role or you won’t tap into his full potential and with him becoming the new FACE of the Franchise there’s little to zero chance Bijan will be splitting carries with Allgeiers! Not for the FACE of the Franchise!
Imo there’s no way Bijan doesn’t average at the very least 21.5 carries per game as that was his work load in college that made him a can’t miss prospect. To use him less is to waste his talents tbh! So I can adjust my total carries this season for Bijan at 370 and since he only had 19 receptions last year for + 300 yards I would say between 25-50 receptions over a season total. So with me explaining this carry total per season what are your realistic total Carries for Bijan Robinson? Please leave a comment below.

It’s some great points, but I disagree with most. Total touches don’t all mean rushing touches, but they are touches you are taking away from Kyle Pitts and Drake London, which both need touches as well. But if everyone can get theirs, this offense is dynamic.
